BA-Iberia Overtakes Air France by Value as IAG Debuts

International Consolidated Airlines Group SA, formed from the combination of British Airways Plc and Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana SA, was valued at 5.3 billion pounds ($8.5 billion) on its trading debut, giving the company a bigger market capitalization than rival Air France-KLM Group.
IAG rose as much as 2.3 percent following the 8 a.m. start of trading in London, where it has its main listing, marking the end of a 2 1/2-year merger process. The new carrier is also listed in Madrid and will report earnings in euros.
