Batista’s AUX Extends Offer for Ventana Until Feb. 15

AUX Canada Acquisition Inc., an investment company controlled by Brazilian billionaire Eike Batista, said it extended its C$1.5 billion ($1.51 billion) offer for Ventana Gold Corp. by about three weeks.
The bid for Ventana, a Canadian metals explorer with assets in Colombia, has been extended until Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. Toronto time, AUX said today in a statement. The offer was originally scheduled to expire on Jan. 24.
