Repsol YPF SA, Spain’s largest oil company, plans to shut its Tarragona refinery in Spain early next month for about 56 days of maintenance, potentially limiting the supplies of fuels such as gasoil.
Repsol will “shut down production almost entirely” for the works that are scheduled to start on Feb. 5, the Madrid-based company said today in an e-mailed statement. A visbreaker, crude distillation unit, vacuum plant, heavy distillates desulfurization facility and hydrocracker are among the units that will be idled, the company said.
