Chinese Company to Grow Biofuel Plant in Congo, Xinhua Says

A Chinese company plans to produce jatropha, a plant used for making biofuels, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing an unidentified source from the Congolese rural development ministry.

The company, Greater Kingdom Group, has asked for 10,000 hectares in each of the provinces operations will be located and exemption of taxes on equipment, Xinhua said.
