The Trans Alaska Pipeline System, which carries about 11 percent of U.S. oil production, is being monitored as the flow rate on the line was little changed after increasing from a restart yesterday.
The target rate for today is 510,000 barrels a day, Mike Levshakoff, a spokesman for network operator Alyeska Pipeline Service Co., said in a telephone interview. An earlier estimate of 570,000 barrels a day was incorrect, he said.
