Bovespa Falls on Inflation, China Demand Concern; Real Climbs

The Bovespa stock index fell, halting four weeks of gains, as economists raised Brazilian inflation forecasts and China´s steps to ease the nation’s rate of growth spurred concern demand will slow.

Lojas Americanas SA, Brazil’s biggest discount retailer, and Brookfield Incorporacoes SA, Brazil’s fourth-largest homebuilder by revenue, led declines for companies that benefit from credit growth. Gerdau SA, Latin America´s biggest steelmaker, led a drop for metals producers as prices fell.
