North Korea’s uranium-enrichment program, providing another means of making nuclear weapons, should be discussed at the United Nations Security Council, South Korean President Lee Myung Bak said.

Lee made the comments late yesterday in a meeting in Seoul with Japanese Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara, who “fully agreed” with the president, according to a statement from Lee’s office. Maehara pledged Japan’s “full support” for South Korea’s position in dealing with North Korea after two separate attacks last year killed 50 South Koreans, the statement said.
