Somali Pirates Hijack South Korean Freighter in Arabian Sea

Somali pirates hijacked a South Korean freighter with 21 crew members in the Arabian Sea yesterday, South Korea’s Foreign Ministry said.
The 11,500-ton Samho Jewelry was on way to Sri Lanka from the United Arab Emirates when it was seized, the ministry said yesterday in a statement on its website. The chemical carrier has eight South Koreans, two Indonesians and 11 Myanmar citizens on board, the statement said.
