The Swiss Centre, a building on London’s Leicester Square that’s due to be converted to a hotel and stores, was put on the market for more than 200 million pounds ($317 million).

The property’s owner, McAleer & Rushe Group, appointed Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. to conduct the sale, according to Robert Gibson, a spokesman for the Cookstown, Northern Ireland-based developer. McAleer & Rushe bought the building in the West End district from British Land Co. in 2004 for 47 million pounds.
