Vivus Inc.’s experimental impotence drug Avanafil helped 80 percent of men achieve erections and two-thirds to have intercourse, Chief Executive Officer Leland Wilson said.

As for the company’s weight-loss drug Qnexa, Vivus will meet with U.S. regulators to discuss an application later this month and may gain approval to market it by August, Wilson said in an interview today at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference.
