Marubeni Takes 49 Percent Stake in Ontario Wind Farm

Marubeni Corp., a Japanese trading company, acquired 49 percent of the 78-megawatt Raleigh Wind Energy Centre Project in Ontario, Canada, according to a statement on the company’s website.

Marubeni bought the stake from Chicago-based Invenergy Wind LLC, which still owns the remaining 51 percent of the project, the statement said, without providing financial details. The project is expected to start operating next month.
