Cookie Gilchrist, the American Football League’s Most Valuable Player in 1962, has died at the age of 75.

Gilchrist, a fullback who is a member of the AFL’s All-Time Team, died at an assisted-living facility in Pittsburgh after a battle with throat cancer that spread through his body, the Buffalo Bills said on their website.
