Foreign Investors Held Half of Greek Stocks in 2010, Bourse Says

Foreign investors held half of all stocks listed on the Greek exchange, the worst performing western European exchange last year, according to data released by the country’s Central Securities Depository today.

Non-resident investors owned 50.4 percent of the market value of all stocks listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in December, up from 48.5 percent in December 2009. Net capital outflows over the year amounted to 1.09 billion euros ($1.4 billion), according to an e-mailed report.
