Harrison Street Buys Transwestern REIT Business, Crain’s Reports

Harrison Street Real Estate Capital acquired Transwestern Securities Management, the REIT subsidiary of real estate investment firm Transwestern Investment Co., for an undisclosed price, Crain’s Chicago Business reported.

Chicago-based Harrison Street’s total assets under management will rise to more than $2.7 billion with the addition of Transwestern, which oversees $700 million in real estate stocks, Crain’s said.
