Obama Vows Federal Help in Probe of Giffords Shooting

President Barack Obama called the shooting in Arizona that killed a federal judge and critically wounded U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords a tragedy for the nation and said he’ll use the full resources of the federal government to “get to the bottom of this.”

Obama said he spoke with Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and that he sent FBI Director Robert Mueller to Arizona to help direct the investigation into the shooting.
