Hungary’s Orban Says Defending Euro Is Top Priority

The European Union’s top priority is to defend the euro as the region grapples with its sovereign-debt crisis, Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, which holds the bloc’s rotating presidency, said today.
“A strong euro means a strong EU” and the bloc needs a “strong, reliable currency,” Oban told reporters in Budapest.
