Issa Asks Industry to Identify Rules That Harm Job-Creation

Representative Darrell Issa is asking companies and business groups including Toyota Motor Corp. and the National Association of Manufacturers to suggest government regulations to be investigated by his House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

In a letter sent last month to more than 150 companies, trade associations and research groups, the incoming committee chairman said it will examine regulations that “negatively impact the economy and jobs.” Issa, of California, will take over the committee when Congress convenes tomorrow with Republicans in the House majority.
