Belarus Releases Election Protesters From Jail, Interfax Says

Belarus released about 150 demonstrators detained after protesting the results of President Alexander Lukashenko’s re-election last month, Interfax reported today citing the Interior Ministry.

While all of those charged with administrative offenses have now been released, more than 20 people remain in jail on charges of organizing riots, the news service said.
