Cold Weather Will Grip U.S. Until Mid-January, Forecasters Say

Warm weather enjoyed by the U.S. Northeast over the weekend is gone, and forecasters say below-normal temperatures will chill much of the country in the next two weeks.

Colder weather than usual will spread across the entire continental U.S., as well as parts of southern Alaska, according to the Climate Prediction Center’s latest 8-to-14-day forecast.
