Moscow plans to sell stakes in about 200 of its 433 companies, including Bank of Moscow, as the city seeks to cut its debt, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said today.
The city, which will start selling assets next year, is also ready to offer shares in Vnukovo airport, the World Trade Centre, United Confectionary Manufacturers and construction companies, Sobyanin said on state television. Moscow plans to raise $445 million from asset sales in 2011, 15 times more than initially planned, the daily Vedomosti reported this month.
