Global Investors Sell Net 999 Million Rupees of Indian Stocks

Global funds sold a net 999 million rupees ($22.2 million) of Indian equities yesterday, paring this year’s record flows in equities to 1.3 trillion rupees, the Securities & Exchange Board of India said.

Investors purchased 15 billion rupees of shares and sold 16 billion rupees, data from the market regulator show. They bought a net 2.84 billion rupees of bonds, taking total debt purchases this year to 459.6 billion rupees. Stock purchases this year include 388 billion rupees from the primary market.
