India Court Rejects Emaar Plea on Games Village, Times Reports

The Delhi High Court dismissed a suit by Emaar MGF Land Ltd. to stop the Delhi Development Authority from encashing a bank guarantee worth 1.83 billion rupees, the Times of India reported, citing the court order.
The court held that the Development Authority is within its rights to penalize Emaar for the delay in completion of the Commonwealth Games village in New Delhi, the paper reported.
