Ukraine’s Gross External Debt Rose 6.68% in Third Quarter

Ukraine’s gross external debt surged 6.68 percent in the third quarter as the country sold Eurobonds and received the first tranche of a $15.2 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund, the central bank said.

The debt totaled $111.6 billion as of Oct. 1, compared with $104.6 billion as of July 1, the Kiev-based Natsionalnyi Bank Ukrainy said today in a statement on its website.
