First Solar, EDF Energies Delay Plant Construction, Echos Says

First Solar Inc. has delayed the start of construction of a solar panel factory near Bordeaux, France because of questions about French regulations, Les Echos reported, citing Chief Executive Officer Rob Gillette.

First Solar and EDF Energies Nouvelles SA said in July 2009 that they planned to build the plant, reaching full production in the second half of 2011. The project may be canceled, according to the newspaper.
