South Korea’s LNG Imports Increase for Tenth Month

South Korea, the world’s second-largest buyer of liquefied natural gas, increased imports of the fuel for a 10th month as heating demand rose.
Purchases climbed 35 percent to about 3.55 million metric tons in November from 2.64 million tons a year earlier, according to data posted on the Korean Customs Service’s website today. The nation paid $511.05 a ton, equivalent to about $9.71 per million British thermal units. That’s 7 percent more than a year earlier, the data show.
