Nomura Says Serbia Creating Conditions for Foreign Investment

Serbia has set itself apart from other emerging-market economies in creating conditions to attract foreign investment that will fuel growth, Nomura Global Research said.

Investor incentives, low taxes, a skilled labor force and “a more competitive currency” are signs of a shift in the country’s growth model toward investments in industry that will spur average economic expansion of about 5 percent in the medium term, London-based Nomura analyst Peter Attard Montalto wrote in a note to clients today.
