EU Urges Serbia to Clean Up Public Procurements, Tanjug Reports

Corruption in Serbia is most common in public procurements, which are worth an annual 4 billion euros ($5.32 billion), or 15 percent of gross domestic product, Tanjug reported, citing Vincent Degert, the head of the European Union delegation in the Balkan country.
The resident representative said that combating corruption in procurement tenders remains a key EU requirement for Serbia’s integration with the bloc, Tanjug reported.
