Czech Lawmakers Approve 2011 Budget, Fiscal Gap at 4.6% of GDP

Czech parliament approved the 2011 state budget that cuts spending on public wages and reduces welfare subsidies to narrow the deficit toward the European Union’s 3 percent of gross domestic product limit.

Lawmakers passed the bill today with 112 voting in favor and 75 against, according to the lower house’s press department.
