Burundi Tea-Export Revenue Jumps 39% Through November on Prices

Burundi earned 39 percent more from exports of tea in the first 11 months of this year as volumes and prices increased, the state-run Burundi Tea Board said.
Export earnings from January through November climbed to $18 million, from $13 million a year earlier, Remy Ndayininahaze, the head of the board’s export department, said today in a phone interview from the capital, Bujumbura. Shipments increased 7.7 percent to 7,000 metric tons, he said.
