South Africa’s Mboweni Says Successor Doing an ‘Excellent Job’

Former South African central bank Governor Tito Mboweni said his successor Gill Marcus and her team are doing an “excellent job” and have taken decisions similar to ones he would have made if he was still held the post.

“Governor Marcus and her team are doing an excellent job both on the administration side and also on the monetary policy side,” Mboweni, who is now an adviser for Goldman Sachs Group Inc., said in an interview today on Talk Radio 702, a Johannesburg-based broadcaster.
