European Commission President Jose Barroso comments on the euro area’s financial backstop, the idea of joint bond sales by governments in the region and possible further actions to tackle the debt crisis.
Barroso spoke to the European Parliament today in Strasbourg, France. The commission is the 27-nation European Union’s executive arm.
