Cyprus’s government will offer benefits to vulnerable social groups affected by its austerity measures and resume a dialogue on taxing wealth, Finance Minister Charilaos Stavrakis said.
The plan is to “find concrete ways” to boost revenue from wealthier classes of the euro area’s second-smallest economy, Stavrakis told reporters in Nicosia today. The government will proceed “soon” with measures to help groups affected by austerity programs and the financial crisis, he said.
