Sempra Energy Reduces Output at Gas-Fired Plant in Mexico

Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based power producer, idled some production yesterday at an electricity generator in Mexico.
The 625-megawatt Termoelectrica de Mexicali 1 plant was operating at 38 percent capacity yesterday after idling 385 megawatts, the California Independent System Operator showed in a report.
