VimpelCom Ltd. and Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris’s Weather Investment SpA may exclude more telecommunications assets from a planned tie-up, in addition to Tunisian and Algerian operators.
“I wouldn’t rule out that some non-core or marginal assets may be taken out of the deal for tactical or tax reasons, for example in North Korea,” Alexey Reznikovich, chief executive officer of Altimo, told reporters in Moscow yesterday.
