Cocoa Falls in N.Y. as Supply Concerns Ease; Coffee Declines

Cocoa fell from a four-month high on speculation that exports from Ivory Coast, the biggest producer, will continue amid political unrest. Coffee also dropped.
The cocoa industry “tends to make sure that shipments carry on,” Gary Mead, an analyst at VM Group in London, said today. The commodity has surged 8.1 percent this month on concern that supplies may be restricted after last month’s election in Ivory Coast turned into a standoff.
