U.S. Pleased With China Summit, Not Complacent, Brainard Says

The U.S. is pleased with the progress made at this week’s China summit, “but we are not complacent,” a Treasury Department official said today in New York.

“China’s economic dynamism presents a challenge but also an opportunity,” Lael Brainard, the undersecretary for international relations, said in remarks prepared for delivery to the Council on Foreign Relations.
