Airbus A350 Deliveries May Slip a Few Months, EADS Says

Airbus SAS said first delivery of its long-range A350 aircraft may slip by several months into the latter part of 2013 as the planemaker grapples with the complexities of switching from design to manufacturing.

Handover of the first jet to Qatar Airways Ltd. had originally been scheduled for the middle of 2013, and challenges to keep that schedule have mounted, Hans Peter Ring, chief financial officer of Airbus parent European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co., told analysts on a conference call today.
