K+S AG, Europe’s biggest potash producer, forecast a significant gain in 2011 operating profit, driven by higher demand and prices for the crop nutrient.

Sales volumes of potash and magnesium products will probably just exceed 7 million tons next year, up from the expected 6.7 million tons to 6.9 million tons in 2010, Kassel-based K+S said in a statement on its website.
