Brazilian Stocks Rise on Fed Economic Speculation; Real Gains

Brazil’s Bovespa stock index advanced, rebounding from its first weekly decline since August, as investors speculated the Federal Reserve may announce further measures to bolster the economic recovery.

Cosan SA Industria & Comercio, the world’s biggest sugar- cane processor, jumped 3.1 percent after reporting preliminary quarterly sales that topped some analyst estimates. Petroleo Brasileiro SA, Brazil’s state-controlled oil company, gained as crude advanced above $83 a barrel.
