India’s stocks rose the most in a week, posting the biggest gain in Asia. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and the nation’s biggest software developers led gains on optimism corporate earnings are rebounding.
Tata Consultancy, the largest software services exporter, increased for the first time in three days ahead of its earnings report today. Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd., the biggest transmission company, climbed the most in two weeks after second-quarter profit jumped 42 percent. Ashok Leyland Ltd., the second-biggest commercial vehicle maker, gained for the third day after its profit rose 88 percent.
