Amazon Said to Plan App Store to Compete With Google

Amazon.com Inc. plans to open an online store to sell software for the Android mobile operating system and compete with a marketplace backed by Google Inc., said a person familiar with the matter.
The store may open as early as this month, said the person, who declined to be identified because the plan hasn’t been announced.
