Cisco’s Chambers Says Web’s Next Phase Will Be Consumer-Driven

Cisco Systems Inc. Chief Executive Officer John Chambers said the time is coming when the Internet will be led by consumers, and advances in technology will help solve global issues.
“It was first in business and then it came to the consumer,” Chambers said during a panel discussion today at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in New York. “The next phase of the Internet in my opinion will be driven entirely from the consumer into business.”
