Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ARNA US) plunged 40 percent to $4.13 for the biggest retreat in Russell 2000 Index. The San Diego-based biotechnology company’s experimental diet pill lorcaserin was linked to “malignant tumor types” in rats, Food and Drug Administration staff said in a report.
