Digg Inc., the Web service that lets people organize online news, hired Matt Williams, an 11-year veteran of Amazon.com Inc., as chief executive officer, replacing Jay Adelson, who stepped down in April.
Digg Founder Kevin Rose, who’s been serving as interim CEO, said in a blog posting that he will remain “actively involved” while Williams takes over management responsibilities. Williams served as general manager of consumer payments at Amazon.com.
