Ternium SA, which controls Argentina’s largest steelmaker, had its plants in the South American country blocked for the fourth consecutive day today by truck drivers protesting working conditions.

The strike, which started Aug. 17, has blocked the entrance to the company’s five Siderar SAIC plants, the company said in a filing with the Argentine securities commission today. Truckers are demanding that Siderar improve the working conditions of contracted drivers for the protest to end, trucking union official Pablo Moyano said in an Aug. 18 interview.
