Google Inc., responding to concerns among privacy advocates, doubled the time consumers have to file online requests seeking to block images of their homes before the company introduces its Street View map service in Germany.
Google, owner of the world’s largest search engine, said German residents had until Oct. 15 to file objections to how their homes are displayed on the service. Google said Aug. 10 it would introduce Street View in the 20 biggest German cities, including Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, by the end of the year.
