Kiwibank Ltd., the lender owned by New Zealand’s government, may seek to raise about NZ$500 million ($357 million) from offshore debt markets this financial year.

“We have successfully raised funds in Australia before and Australia is certainly an area of interest for us,” Kiwibank Communications Manager Bruce Thompson said in a phone interview from Wellington. The lender hasn’t decided on a timetable or a target market, he said.
