Some Democrats are urging Victoria Reggie Kennedy, the widow of the late U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy, to try to win back her late husband’s Senate seat from the Republicans, the Washington Post reported.

Among the Democrats urging Kennedy to challenge Republican Senator Scott Brown in 2012, is Charles Schumer, Democratic senator from New York, the newspaper reported. She would be “a superb candidate, no question,” William Delahunt, Democratic congressman from Massachusetts, told the newspaper. Brown won the seat in a special election in January.
