Taiwan’s Exports Increased for Ninth Month in July

Taiwan’s exports rose for a ninth month as demand for the island’s microchips and computers weathered global risks threatening Asian shipments.
Exports advanced 38.5 percent in July from a year earlier, the Ministry of Finance said in Taipei today. The median estimate of 13 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News was for a 31 percent gain. Imports rose 42.7 percent for a trade surplus of $2.16 billion.
