China Datang Starts Construction of Rooftop Solar Power Plant

China Datang Corp., the nation’s second-largest power producer, has started construction of a 5.8 megawatt rooftop solar plant in Jiangsu province, the Xinhua state news agency reported.
The 160 million-yuan ($24 million) project in Wood Industrial Park in Dafeng port is scheduled to be commissioned by November. It is the first phase of a 10-megawatt, 350 million-yuan plant, according to Xinhua.
